XS Espresso North Parramatta is a place to get a morning coffee fix, satisfy the late-night dessert cravings and everything in between. When dining at XS, there will be an excess if decadent desserts outrageous milkshakes brunch classics and hybrid dishes. The locals and customers are always on the edge of their chair waiting for the newest dishes to come out of the XS kitchen.
Their menu includes a range of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert with each category holding a variety of unique and classic dishes that never fail to impress the locals. XS Espresso’s popularity has enormously grown throughout the years along with their loyal customer base and it keeps growing every day, so they require an additional chef to assist in handling this growing pressure.

The Role
XS Espresso North Parramatta is looking for a Cook who can oversee the restaurant's kitchen by effectively managing other kitchen and food preparation team members whilst deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet guests' requests.
All work will be conducted in a fully functioning, very clean and organised kitchen. Applicants must have the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints, with knowledge of different varieties of foods and ingredients, communication skills, and the ability to accept customer feedback to improve future experiences. Coordinate and plan menus with Chefs and other kitchen staff.

Tasks Include
- Set up workstations with required ingredients and cooking equipment;
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations;
- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients;
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions;
- Regulating temperatures of ovens and other cooking equipment;
- Seasoning, preparing and cooking food;
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities;
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment;
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene at all times;

Qualifications and Skills
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- Relevant qualifications required however, 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualifications.
- Have at least 3 years of experience as a cook;
- Planning menu and creating new dishes;
- Ensure quality products are prepared and presented;
- Manage kitchen including training staff when needed;
- Have experience in upholding the proper health and safety requirements in the kitchen;

Salary: $70,000 - $75,,000 per year.
