Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our HR team. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for all employees and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in payroll software, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees using payroll software/system.
Calculate wages, salaries, deductions, and withholdings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employee status in payroll system.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax forms, and management reports.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and benefits to employees.
Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and tax rates, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation and reporting.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and adhere to data security protocols.
Provide support for audits and assist with internal controls related to payroll processes.
Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Salary:
