Our Client
Our client offers a range of timber processes including sanding, coating, scorching, and laminating. They do custom machining of any timber profile in large or small volumes. They are seeking to employ machine operators to be part of their team.

About the Role:
Monday to Friday work
Mondays to Thursdays 7:15 am to 4:00 pm & Fridays 7:15 am to 1:30 pm
Long term-ongoing work to go permanent.

Duties and Responsibilities
Loading and unloading timber onto and off of the machinery manually or using other material handling equipment.
Machine operation (i.e., sanding, coating, scorching, laminating, etc.)
Ensuring the quality of the processed timber by inspecting products for defects, irregularities, or damage and making adjustments to the machinery as needed.
Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Monitoring production output and making adjustments to machine settings or workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Communicating effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate workflow, report problems or concerns, and ensure smooth operations.

About You
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in sanding, coating, scorching, laminating
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Must be able to follow instructions closely and pay attention to details such as measurements and specifications.
Good communication skills and can work well with a team.
