Facility Plant Manager

Our Client HUSSEY & CO PTY LTD ABN - xxxxxxx 0246 – Located in Somerville, VIC is seeking a Facility Plant Manager Full-time position for between $100,000 - $120,000 a year.

Reporting directly to the GM VIC Manufacturing, you will be a high performing individual with the knowledge and skills to run the day to day operations of a production line.
To be successful for the role, you will have the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring all production targets are achieved. You will be responsible for driving continuous efficiency improvements and possess the skills to effectively coach and mentor your team
Duties will include:
· Manage the shed floor on a day to day basis
· Ensure all cool rooms are operating correctly
· Ensure all produce is packed to specifications, efficiently, without compromising on quality
· Ensure that the logistics supervisor has the product in a timely fashion and to a quality standard to ensure all product can be delivered in full and on time.
· Planning, organising and production schedules
· Oversee the production team and monitoring factory performance and KPI’s
· Provide direction and leadership to the production team
· Desire to lead from the front and rive a culture of continuous improvements
· Human resources Management – Train, Develop and Recruit
· Analyse the production data and take actions or provide recommendations in order to improve efficiencies
· Implementation/Maintenance of standards – Visual Management, Standard Operation Procedures, Work Instructions
· The capability to manage escalations
· Planned maintenance and breakdown maintenance management
· Effective cross functional communication between production, logistics, S&OP
· Ensuring shift supervisors lead their respective shifts appropriately and meet KPI’s
· Allocation of factory labour in line with planned work and process schedules
· Quality control of raw and finished goods
· Management of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods

It is essential you possess the following:
· Hands on and show of commitment
· Successful completion of an appropriate degree
· Proven post-qualification experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
· Good analytical skills, attention to detail and decision-making ability
· Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
· Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
· Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
