We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to perform ongoing tasks. The position requires working with a wide range of clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
• Prepare and present financial statements for boards of directors, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
• Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, undertake audits, and advise on matters like business transactions, mergers, capital financing, fraud, insolvency, and taxation.
• Examine operating costs and income and expenditure of the organization.
• Ensure the accuracy and statutory compliance of financial reports.
• Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations.
• Prepare taxation returns for individuals and organizations.
• Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
• Introduce and maintain accounting systems, advising on computer-based accounting system selection and application.
• Maintain internal control systems, including appraising cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Australian financial regulations and standards.
• Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
