Job Summary:
We are seeking an Automotive Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, selects and blends colors, and applies paint with the proper method.

- Knowledge of color matching and blending techniques
- Familiarity with various types of paint materials and equipment
Responsibilities:
- Preparing vehicles for painting by sanding, priming, and masking as needed
- Sanding and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint materials
- Touching up imperfections and defects as needed, and giving the vehicles a polish
- Inspecting vehicles to identify areas that require painting or refinishing.
- Removing old paint, rust, dents, and damaged parts.
- Mixing paint colors to match vehicle specifications, achieving the desired shades as well as choosing pre-mixed paint
- Applying paint, primer and finishing coats using spray guns or other methods and sanding surfaces between layers
- Masking off areas that should not be painted, such as windows, trim, and other
non-paintable components
- Creating designs and artwork on vehicles
- Applying rust-resistant treatments/chemicals to vehicles
- Inspecting finished work for quality control purposes
- Monitoring and maintaining paint supplies and inventory
- Maintaining and cleaning painting equipment, including spray guns and mixing
machines.
- Ensuring that the paint application is free from imperfections, such as runs, sags, or dust
- Taking off the masking papers, then polishing and waxing the completed paint job

- Keeping work area clean and organized
Qualifications:
- 03 years of previous experience as an Automotive Painter or in a similar role
- Certification in automotive painting preferred but not required
- Knowledge of WHS standards related to automotive painting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
Salary:
85.000,00 AUD Annual
