Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor day-to-day logistics activities
- Provide plans and quotations for logistics services, including complex shipments
- Liaise with service providers including transport and heavy equipment companies to negotiate prices and terms
- Ensure appropriate legal paperwork is completed and filed for each project, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Monitoring projects to ensure costs remain within targets
- Act as escalation point in event of delays or other issues
- Undertake analysis of logistics projects, recognizing where we have done well and areas of improvement
- Identify and research business opportunities and assist to define strategic sales targets
- Help drive business expansion with an emphasis on European customers and agents
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dedicated agents
- Collaborate with the executive committee to set and implement organizational strategies, company policies, and goals utilizing area of expertise
- Consult with software companies to develop project logistics software
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and events, including social media promotions
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics management and operations
- Formal qualifications in a relevant field are beneficial, but not required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to define sales strategies and business opportunities
- Knowledge of European markets and experience working with international agents
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in collaborating with executive teams and setting organizational goals
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

The salary range is between A$ 100,000 and A$ 140,000, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
