Market Research & Analysis (Marketing & Communications)
Casual/Vacation
$37.13 per hour
The opportunity
We have an opportunity in Canberra for a forefront data collector to join Instinct and Reason. The role offered is for independent market research conducted through face-to-face interviewing and observational studies. The collected data will be utilised to develop reporting for client-centric strategic planning.
Shift lengths will vary. Candidates who perform well and have good availability may be offered work on other projects.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
• Minimum availability of four to ten days a month (weekends inclusive sometimes) starting in October and going through to June 2025
• Demonstrated fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to understand and follow correct procedures with minimal errors
• A strong interest in the data collection process and adherence to data integrity
• Adaptability to work in dynamic environments and across various field research programs
• Eligible to work in Australia (International students/WHV holders welcome)
• Punctual, respectful and professional presentation always
• Willing to work on your feet in both indoor and outdoor environments for various shift lengths and times
• Excellent communication skills with respondents and Instinct and Reason team
• Proven understanding of the standards relating to quality data in market research (accuracy, consistency, and integrity).
• Competent understanding and ability to use digital tablet devices
• Experience in market research will be highly regarded but not essential
Applicants deemed suitable will be invited to attend a virtual interview/digital screening. If successful during the interviewing stage, applicants will be contacted for a paid training and briefing session. Training attendance is mandatory to be considered for the role.
We offer:
• Above award hourly rates plus allowances (in accordance with the provisions of the AMSRO market research industry agreement)
• Paid travel time/expenses as per AMSRO agreement
• Paid full training under ISO 20252
