Painter

Our client, Color Match Painting Pty Ltd in Cranbourne West, is looking for an experienced and dedicated painter.

Role description:
· Prepare area for paint by laying down drop sheets to cover floors, furniture, or other surfaces near the painting area.
· Clean, sand, fill, and prime surfaces to ensure they are ready for painting, including removing old paint, repairing cracks, and smoothing surfaces.
· Mix and match paint colours to achieve the required shades and finishes.
· Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring even coverage and the desired finish quality.
· Apply wallpapers as per client requirements, ensuring proper pattern matching and trimming ends.
· Follow safety procedures, including use of scaffolding and ladders, the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
· Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and make any necessary touch-ups or corrections.
· Efficiently manage time to meet project deadlines, while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
· Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide guidance on paint choices and finishes.
· Maintain accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed.

Eligibility Criteria:
· Certificate 3 in Painting
· Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
· Current Driver’s License
· Construction induction card (white/Red Card)
· Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
