Position: Motor Mechanic
Salary: $73,150 to $80,000 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: 917 Nepean Highway, Bentleigh VIC 3204
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Motor Mechanic to join our team at Europei Motori. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of European car makes and models. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to excellence in service and ensure our customers' vehicles are in optimal condition.

The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• Repair maintain and test motor vehicle and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components of a lightweight motor vehicle such as transmissions, steering and brakes.
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components and checking parts.
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired and running a through test and if required, adjusting the mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
• Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of a computer.
• May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
• May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

• Certificate III in Automotive with on-the-job experience.
• Minimum 2 years plus experience in a similar role.
Other Responsibilities:
• Interact with clients and gather their requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Competency in all duties listed above.
• Good written and verbal communication.
