Job Description
Position: Developer Programmer
Salary: $80,000 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: Suite 12 217 Margaret Street, Toowoomba City QLD 4350

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer Programmer to design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet client specifications and business needs. The role involves writing clean, efficient code, enhancing existing systems, and ensuring software performance, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to provide robust, high-quality solutions.
Tasks and Responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Software Development & Coding: Write and modify code to build software applications that meet client specifications and business requirements. Design, develop, and test software systems to ensure they are scalable, secure, and meet performance standards. Integrate third-party components, libraries, or APIs to enhance application functionality and improve system capabilities.
• System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing software systems to ensure ongoing compatibility, performance, and reliability. Perform system updates and modifications based on user requirements or to incorporate new technologies and innovations. Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues within software applications to ensure smooth operation and functionality.
• Testing & Optimization: Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate code quality, ensuring it meets functional and performance criteria. Conduct performance tuning and optimization to improve the responsiveness, reliability, and scalability of applications.
• Collaboration & Client Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and QA specialists, to gather requirements and deliver well-rounded technical solutions. Liaise with clients and end-users to understand their business objectives and ensure technical solutions align with their expectations and requirements. Provide technical recommendations and propose system improvements or enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document technical processes, including code specifications, API integrations, system designs, and testing protocols. Maintain detailed documentation to aid in troubleshooting, future system development, and for reference during upgrades. Prepare regular technical reports and provide updates to management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and key milestones.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure the security of software applications by adhering to industry-standard cybersecurity best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Address and resolve potential security vulnerabilities within software, ensuring systems remain secure and compliant.
• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry trends to continually improve development processes and practices. Research and evaluate new software tools, frameworks, and methodologies to recommend innovative solutions for ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master’s qualification in Information Technology or relevant field.
Other Requirement & Skills:
• 2-3+ years of experience as a Developer Programmer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and integration of APIs or third-party services.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
