Amiga Engineering is on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic first-year junior apprentice. You’ll be finishing high school this year and looking to start an exciting career in engineering. Join our team where you’ll learn hands-on skills and be part of an Australian leader in advanced manufacturing.
What You will Learn:
- Machining: turning, milling, drilling, boring, and slotting
- Grinding, pedestal grinding, and basic painting
- Overhead crane and forklift operation
- Assembly and fitment of industrial gearboxes
- Reading BOMs (Bills of Materials) and technical assembly drawings
- CNC Milling and Turning
- As you progress, opportunity to learn cutting-edge Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) in metal and polymer

What We are Looking For:
- A genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing
- Eagerness to learn new skills and work on current abilities
- Willingness to take direction and work with your hands
- Not afraid to use your skills and hands on manual and CNC machines
- Strong math and geometry skills
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of a Pre-apprenticeship course is a bonus
- Cert I Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Car & license (a must)
