We are seeking a dynamic, creative and career focused Chef to lead our Kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Crafting and designing menus that highlight Jannat’s specialty in luxurious ethnic and traditional cuisine, combining authentic Indian flavors with contemporary presentation to appeal to a diverse clientele.
• Sourcing premium-quality ingredients, including traditional spices, unique herbs, and specialty items, to ensure the authenticity and richness of each dish, maintaining Jannat’s commitment to luxury and quality.
• Preparing, seasoning, and cooking dishes with precision to bring out authentic flavors while maintaining the brand's standards of excellence, consistency, and cultural authenticity.
• Elevating the dining experience by ensuring all dishes are artistically plated, reflecting Jannat’s luxurious aesthetic and aligning with the visual appeal of high-end ethnic fashion and design.
• Supervising and coordinating the kitchen staff to maintain seamless operations, ensuring every team member adheres to Jannat's high standards of quality and authenticity in culinary preparation.
• Managing inventory, sourcing rare spices and ingredients, and maintaining cost efficiency while reducing waste, ensuring availability of traditional ingredients essential to Jannat’s exclusive cuisine.
• Upholding rigorous quality control standards to meet food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring the freshness, safety, and premium quality of all dishes served.
• Overseeing and managing food costs to align with the luxury brand's budget requirements, controlling waste and maximizing the efficient use of premium ingredients.
• Innovating new recipes and adapting traditional ones to create seasonal dishes, infusing Jannat’s traditional culinary roots with creative modern twists that appeal to refined palates.
• Ensuring smooth kitchen operations by organizing daily preparation schedules, shift transitions, and staff coordination, all tailored to meet the high demand and fine dining standards of a luxury clientele.
• Training and mentoring kitchen staff to understand traditional Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles, upholding Jannat’s dedication to culinary excellence and heritage.
• Gathering customer feedback on specialty dishes and making adjustments to menus and preparation techniques as needed, continuously improving based on client preferences and the brand's high standards for customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within high-end or luxury dining establishments.
• Proficiency in traditional Indian and contemporary culinary techniques.
• Strong ability to design menus that highlight authentic and modern Indian flavors.
• Expertise in sourcing and utilizing premium, traditional ingredients.
• Proven leadership skills to supervise and mentor kitchen staff effectively.
• High attention to detail in food presentation, aligning with luxury standards.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
