Full time position
38 hours per week + overtime
$63,000 - $67,000 per year + superannuation

We manufacture cabinets, laminate & solid surface benchtops, thermo and laminate doors to the trade throughout Australia. KT3 is part of The Farquhar Group of Companies.

We are seeking to fill multiple production and assembly roles in our manufacturing facility at Lonsdale. As a Production and Assembly team member you will be responsible for general production of cabinetry including machine operation and cabinet building.

You will be undertaking the following duties:

Receive panels on conveyor and convert to bench and complete visual check to ensure:
good quality (no imperfections, defects, marks, scratches, chips or glue)
all correct hardware has been used
edge strips are up to standard
Attach and secure each panel according to the Task Instruction (drilling/screwing) to assemble the cabinet
Inspect assembled cabinet to ensure each panel is fitted flush and square with the adjoining panel
Attach and/or insert the required shelves, drawers and doors to the assembled cabinet
Inspect completed cabinet to ensure the correct and appropriate amount of hardware has been used
Move completed cabinet to conveyor carefully to avoid any damage
Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times, following cleaning daily/weekly cleaning schedule as required
Work efficiently to ensure production is not impacted, in line with the panels per minute detailed on Task Instruction.
Switching on and shutting down the machines daily
Machine the first sheet in the process to ensure calibration is correct. See Standard Operating Procedure for calibration details
Continue to load and cut sheets to the required schedule
Unload each panel as they have been machined and complete a visual check to ensure:
Good quality (no chipping, no marks and combination)
Perform machine maintenance, following the weekly schedule and replacing tools as required
Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times, following the daily cleaning schedule as required
Work efficiently to ensure production is not impacted, in line with the sheets per minute detailed on Tasks Instruction.
Checking and ensuring the level of glue and temperature are correct
Preparing and correctly loading the edgestrip into machine
Check to ensure the panel has been labelled correctly
Carefully load panel and run through machine to attached edgestrip
Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times, following the daily cleaning schedule.
The position will report to the Production Manager.

Successful applicants must have:

at the minimum 3 years relevant experience as a Production Worker in the Cabinetry, Carpentry or Joinery Industry
at the minimum a Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or similar)
strong communication and interpersonal skills
strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to allocate resources efficiently and manage time so as to achieve objectives.
A good understanding of machinery operation, assembly line, production, setting up, fault finding and housekeeping
