Capricorn Sandstone Quarries is seeking an experienced Stonemasons that have experience with dimensional sandstone processing techniques. We are a family-owned business with decades of experience in quarrying and manufacturing of Australian sandstone, located in Stanwell, Queensland.
The role is a newly created position due to the business growth and is an outstanding opportunity fora highly driven and talented individual to develop and diversify their skills.
The Role:
Cutting, Shaping and Dressing of sandstone to required dimensions
Follow design instructions to carve and shape stone
Study plans and other specifications
Handling sandstone with care
Maintain Quality Control and Packaging stone securely
Keeping surrounds clean
Show interest in learning new skills and have input on ways to improve efficiencies
Be physically fit
Qualifications
Relevant qualification
At least 2 years of on-the-job training
An interest in finding solutions and solving problems
Ability to work unsupervised
Excellent communication and reporting skills
