Job Overview:
As a Software and Applications Programmers, you will be responsible to design, develop, test and maintain computer code. As a programmer, you will also: research and find creative ways to solve problems. fix bugs by diagnosing and correcting errors in code.
Job Duties
• Design, develop, and test custom software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for various applications.
• Analyze user needs to develop and enhance software functionality and performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Integrate software solutions with existing systems and third-party applications.
• Implement secure coding practices to protect software against vulnerabilities.
• Develop technical documentation, including user manuals and system guidelines.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve software development processes.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and updates for deployed software solutions.
Skills and Experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies.
• Experience in debugging, testing, and resolving software issues effectively.
• Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
• Ability to integrate software solutions with third-party tools and existing systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
