We are looking for a skilled Software/Application Developer to join our team and drive the development and enhancement of custom software and applications to improve operational efficiency and elevate the patient experience.

Job Overview:
The Software/Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain software applications tailored to the needs of our dermatology practice. This role requires a creative thinker who can translate business requirements into functional and user-friendly applications while ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Application Development: Design, build, and maintain custom software applications to optimize workflow, patient record management, and appointment scheduling.
Integration: Ensure seamless integration between third-party healthcare systems (e.g., EMR/EHR platforms) and existing infrastructure.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement timely fixes to ensure uninterrupted service.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create software solutions tailored to their needs.
Compliance: Ensure all applications adhere to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other data protection standards.
Innovation: Recommend and implement new technologies to improve practice operations and enhance patient care.
Testing & Documentation: Perform rigorous testing of applications, prepare technical documentation, and provide training to end-users.
Data Security: Develop applications with robust data security protocols to protect sensitive patient information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
3+ years of experience in software/application development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Experience in developing applications for the healthcare industry is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or Ruby on Rails.
Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with healthcare systems like EMR/EHR platforms and APIs (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency in front-end and back-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data encryption.
Experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android) is a plus.
