Job Description

Job Title: Support Worker (NDIS)
Location: Morayfield QLD
Hourly Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour

Position Type: [Full-time/Part-time/Casual]

About the Role: Caterpillar Care Support Services (CCSS) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and assistance to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

*Key Responsibilities:
~Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
~Provide support in developing skills for independence and community participation.
~Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote inclusion and socialization.
~Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized care plans.
~Support clients with mobility, medication reminders, and personal hygiene.
~Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
~Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients.
~Provide transportation and support for clients to attend appointments, activities, and social events as needed.

*Requirements:
~Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check) are required.
~First Aid and CPR Certification.
~Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
~Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
~NDIS Orientation Module completion.
~Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
~Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
~Previous experience in disability support or healthcare is highly desirable.
~A genuine passion for working with people with disabilities and promoting their independence.

*Desirable Skills:
~Experience with mobility aids and equipment.
~Knowledge of the NDIS system and participant needs.
~Ability to assist clients with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
