Panel Beater

Our Client KEILOR COLLISION CENTRE PTY LTD ABN - 28 529 447 190 – Located in Melbourne, VIC is seeking someone to work a Full-time Panel Beater position for between $74,000 - $85,000 a year.

DUTIES:

• Detaching damaged panels, parts, upholstery, and accessories to access areas needing repair.
• Repairing dents by hammering and reshaping deformed panels.
• Straightening damaged vehicle structures and components using mechanical or hydraulic tools.
• Replacing severely damaged sections with new or salvaged panels.
• Filling depressions with plastic fillers, then smoothing surfaces by filing, grinding, and sanding.
• Cutting and welding replacement sections to seamlessly restore vehicle integrity.
• Reinstalling repaired or replacement panels and securing body hardware such as door locks, trims, and accessories.
• Assisting with constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage, or specialty vehicles.
• Applying spray paint or other finishes to vehicles as required.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure high-quality repairs and on-time delivery of vehicles.
• Scheduling and monitoring the progress of vehicle repairs to maintain efficiency.
• Performing panel beating and aligning panels to address minor damages accurately.
• Identifying all necessary repairs upfront to minimize additional supplements.
• Ensuring safe handling and proper disposal of materials in compliance with WHS and EPA regulations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

This position will require the following from the employee –

• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• At least 2 years’ experience
• Relevant Qualification
• Driver's licence
• OH&S experience preferred
