Our clients are seeking a reliable and experienced Property & Garden Maintenance Contractor to assist in the upkeep of a prestigious property located in the Eastern Suburbs. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the home and its grounds remain in pristine condition, offering both functional support and aesthetic upkeep. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality service, maintain discretion and privacy, and exhibit professionalism at all times.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Property Maintenance:

Conduct regular checks on home systems, including heating, cooling, hot water, lighting, and any other operational features to ensure they are in working order.
Assist with minor repairs or coordinate with contractors for larger repairs.
Change light bulbs, replace air filters, and perform other basic home maintenance tasks.
Regularly maintain the garden and outdoor areas, ensuring the grounds remain tidy and aesthetically pleasing.
Report any security concerns or maintenance issues promptly.
Run occasional errands for the property and family, such as deliveries or items for home use.
Maintain a regular schedule for property inspections and maintenance tasks.
Provide timely updates to the homeowner on the status of ongoing maintenance and any repairs or issues.
Garden & Outdoor Maintenance:

Mow lawns, trim hedges, weed gardens, and tend to seasonal changes.
Leaf blowing and clearing debris from outdoor spaces and external doors.
Ensure outdoor irrigation systems are functioning properly.
Clean windows, including both interior and exterior glass.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of outdoor areas (patios, pathways, etc.).
Ensure entryways and driveways are free of debris and leaves.
Maintain a secure environment by ensuring gates, doors, and other security features are functional.
Take out and bring in bins as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in property maintenance, gardening, or facilities management, preferably in high-end properties.
Strong attention to detail and an eye for high-quality workmanship.
Ability to handle basic home repairs and troubleshooting.
Capable of performing physical tasks (gardening, cleaning, carrying items).
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Discretion and respect for privacy, especially in a high-profile residential setting.
Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Own transport and ability to run errands as required.
Basic knowledge of home systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical) and how to identify common issues.
Landscaping or horticulture certification (desirable but not essential).
Prior experience working in luxury or high-end residential environments.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
