Our Client ARKLE SALIX FARMS ABN – xxxxxxx – Located in Rosa Brook, WA is seeking a Livestock & Cattle Farmer to fill a Full-time position for between $74,000 - $75,000 a year.

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Beef Cattle Farm Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our cattle farm, ensuring the health, welfare, and productivity of our livestock. This role requires hands-on work with cattle, equipment, and farm facilities, with a focus on maintaining a high standard of animal care and farm management.

DUTIES:
• Regularly check on the condition of cattle and report any issues or abnormalities.
• Ensure cattle are provided with adequate feed and water to maintain their health and productivity.
• Assist with tasks related to maintaining the health and well-being of the livestock, such as administering treatments and observing for signs of disease or injury.
• Move and manage cattle between paddocks to optimize grazing and ensure proper distribution of livestock.
• Help with activities such as branding, vaccinating, or weighing cattle as needed.
• Conduct routine repairs and upkeep of fences, yards, and other structures to ensure they are safe and secure for livestock.
• Clean and maintain equipment, water troughs, and feeding systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Operate farm tools, machinery, and vehicles to support day-to-day operations, including feeding and water systems.
• Assist with preparing cattle for transport and coordinating movements for sales or processing.
• Rotate livestock through different grazing areas to promote pasture recovery and maintain healthy forage.
• Monitor water supplies and manage irrigation or water delivery systems as needed.

REQUIRMENTS:
• 2 years’ prior experience in beef cattle farming or livestock handling
• Ability to handle livestock calmly and safely.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry and welfare practices.
• Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery is advantageous.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by farm operations.
