Job Description
Position: Hairdresser
Salary: $73,150 plus 11.5% superannuation
Hours: 38
Mode: Full-Time
Location: 373 Gundaroo Drive, Gungahlin ACT 2912
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience
We are seeking a talented and experienced Hairdresser to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for haircare and a strong skill set in a variety of hair treatments. As a Hairdresser, your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on hair care, products, and the latest styles to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Offer personalised consultations to clients, providing advice on haircare routines, beauty products, and suitable hairstyles based on their preferences and hair type.
• Perform shampooing and conditioning services, ensuring clients’ scalps and hair are thoroughly cleansed and treated for optimal health.
• Apply various chemical treatments, including hair colouring, straightening, and permanent waving, to achieve clients’ desired looks while maintaining hair integrity.
• Cut, shape, and style hair using scissors, clippers, and razors, tailoring each haircut to the client’s face shape, hair texture, and style preference.
• Specialise in unique styles such as dreadlocks, braids, and hair extensions, ensuring a polished and professional finish.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised after each use to uphold high hygiene standards.
• Schedule client appointments and manage the salon’s booking system, ensuring an efficient and smooth workflow.
• Process payments for services rendered, ensuring clients are satisfied with their experience.
• Provide care and styling for wigs and hairpieces, including cutting, colouring, and arranging them as needed.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Hairdressing
Other requirements:
• Proven experience as a professional hairdresser or stylist.
• Strong knowledge of hair care techniques, hair products, and the latest trends in hairstyling.
• Proficient in the use of scissors, clippers, razors, and other professional hair tools.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Organisational skills for scheduling appointments and processing payments.
• Creativity and attention to detail to deliver high-quality results that meet clients' needs.
