Job Description

About the role

Heart to Heart Disability is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader (Disability Sector) to join their organization in Sydney. This role will involve leading and supporting a team of disability support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our clients.

What you'll be doing:-

1. Oversee and coordinate the work of a team of disability support workers, allocating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
2.Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to support workers to develop their skills and deliver excellent client care
3.Liaise with clients, their families and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure service delivery is meeting their expectations
4.Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
5.Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and best practices within the disability services team
6.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance service delivery
7.Foster a positive team culture and promote a safe, inclusive and collaborative work environment

Essential Criteria:

*Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services, Disability Studies or a related field
*Extensive experience (minimum 3-5 years) working in the disability services sector, with a proven track record of leading and managing a team.
*Ability to work with any complex need’s client.
*In-depth knowledge of the NDIS and relevant legislation, regulations and best practices in the disability support industry
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families and stakeholders
*Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions
*Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and developing team members
*Proficient in record-keeping, report writing and data analysis
*Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required to meet client needs
*All checks up to date and a recent National police check.
*Australian Driver's License is a MUST
