Job Description

Our client C & P Automotive Engineers deals in sales and hire of a broad range of construction and heavy earth moving equipment, forklifts, access and hydraulic equipment. The business also provides repair and maintenance services of equipment to their clients. Due to the business growth and expansion plans, we are now looking to recruit Diesel Mechanic(s) on a permanent full-time basis for our client
• Maintain, test and repair diesel motors and the mechanical parts of heavy earth moving and construction equipment such as transmissions, suspension, steering mechanisms and brakes.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance which includes oil and filter change, engine tuning, lubricating mechanical parts, testing engine, hydraulics, power train, brakes & electrical systems, and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance Check, Assembly and Dismantling (Overhauling) of Major Components like Engines, Hydraulic pumps, transmission, final Drive etc.
• Attend breakdown issue and solve it by following diagnostic procedure as per repair manual.
• Test/charge, replace or jump start batteries.
• Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers.
• Conduct thorough test after being repaired for optimum performance.
• Repair and replace worn and defective parts and re-assembling engine and mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of various measuring equipment, hand tools and special tools in workshop.
• Update and highlight all major and repeated failures to the Workshop Manager/ Service Supervisor.
Salary:
$75,000.00 Annual
