Role
Kickin Inn Bankstown is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant (General) to manage the financial records, ensure compliance with taxation requirements, and support the business in making informed financial decisions. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Prepare and examine financial statements, budgets, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and analyse accounting data to produce financial reports or statements for management.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), payroll tax, and other statutory obligations.
• Maintain and oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal control procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial health.
• Liaise with external accountants, tax agents, and auditors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with senior management.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Review accounting systems and recommend improvements for better efficiency and accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting or a closely related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
• At least 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks).
• In-depth understanding of Australian taxation and financial regulations.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
