With a strong emphasis on quality and innovation, we offer breakfast, brunch, and lunch in a contemporary, fast-paced setting.
We are currently seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Cook to join our kitchen brigade. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking to grow their culinary career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
About the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, contributing to the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes that reflect our fresh, seasonal and modern café-style menu.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu standards and service timing.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Monitor stock levels, record usage, and assist in placing supplier orders.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards at all stages of food preparation and storage.
• Support the development of new menu items based on seasonal produce and culinary trends.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
• Ensure proper receiving, rotation, and storage of goods to minimize waste and control costs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
• Uphold safe work practices and report any maintenance issues as required.
Skills & Experience Required
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (mandatory); Certificate IV or Diploma of Hospitality Management will be advantageous.
• At least 2 years of experience in a busy kitchen, ideally within a café or casual dining environment.
• A strong understanding of food safety (HACCP) and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Passion for locally sourced, fresh ingredients and modern Australian cuisine.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Availability to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, and split shifts.
