Job Description
Position purpose To ensure effective financial management of the college’s funds by providing internal controls, budgeting and compliance reporting as well as ensure statutory and strategic compliance.

Main tasks
• Management of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Reports, Performance Analysis (costs, tax and cash flow) and Budget Variance Analysis
• Management of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Reconciliations including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Bank & GL
• Management of month end processes including Provisions, Accruals, bank transactions, resolution of unreconciled money in enrolment system
• Preparation and consolidation of BAS and Tax Returns
• Preparation and coordination of statutory compliance obligations (FBT, GST reporting, PAYG Withholding, superannuation, workers compensation)
• Preparation and coordination of the annual budgeting process and special reports for management upon request
• Cash flow and budget management, projection and analysis
• Maintenance of fixed assets register
• Implementation and maintenance of management reporting processes
• Involvement in projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Attend monthly board meetings with CEO as part of strategic function of the role
• Liaison with external auditor
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintaining currency in statutory requirements
• Other duties may include:
o Supervise administration staff in the preparation of employee contracts and subcontractor statements
o Supervise Accounts Payable and Receivable - Post journals in Xero
o Supervise payroll process and related queries
o Insurance renewal

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications
• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or higher, Bachelor Degree desirable.

Experience
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Budgeting and compliance analysis
• Experience working in Accounts
• Advanced knowledge of MYOB, Word and Excel
