Job Description
SALT HAIR IS NOW HIRING
We are seeking our new senior hairdresser to join our professional, warm and welcoming team.
If you are an advanced 3rd year apprentice hairdresser, we would welcome your application also.
• Work for a blonde & balayage specialist salon (+ we do tape hair extensions and can provide paid training if wanted)
• Pay Rate: $30 per hour (weekdays) and $35 per hour (weekends)
• We’re BIG on work/life balance: SUPER flexible hours (Full time or Part time) including school based, later starts /earlier finishes
• Options for no Saturdays if wanted
• Flexible employment arrangement
• Work in a GORGEOUS beach side salon – head down the beach after work or in your break!

SALT HAIR – NEWSCASTLE
We opened our doors 8 years ago at our STUNNING beachside salon. Founded by our owner, Kristin, we are a dynamic team of 4. We provide all hair services but especially LOVE blondes & balayage plus we offer tape hair extensions (Kristin’s own brand!). We work with Base colour range & retail evo, Mr Smith, Olaplex & Eleven.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
• You will need to be confident in colour, cutting and styling (and especially love blondes & balayage). If you are an advanced 3rd year apprentice, we will provide ongoing training and education
• Well groomed and well presented
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Works well on your own as well as part of a team
Hours: Full time or Part time – don’t want to work Saturdays? Easy! Do you need school hours? Later starts / earlier finishes? We’re super flexible to fit in with your lifestyle.
Remuneration: We pay the BIG bucks!
• $30 per hour (weekdays) and $35 per hour (weekends)
• PLUS, generous commissions and bonuses
Location: Newcastle NSW (1 minute walk from the beach) plus free parking. All applications will remain 100% confidential.
