Georges Holdings Pty Ltd, trading as Georges Cameras, is one of the leading independently owned camera and electronic retailers in Australia. We sell a wide range of products such as cameras, lenses, accessories and studio lighting equipment from all major brands.

We are currently looking for a full-time ICT Support Technician who will ensure the smooth operation of the company’s digital infrastructure and technology-related services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Provide technical support and assistance to employees and customers experiencing IT issues, such as hardware and software problems.
 Determine, instal and download the software applications needed to support different business functions, such as point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
 Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades and enhancements and adapt existing programs to accommodate business growth and changing technology needs.
 Troubleshoot software- and hardware-related issues, respond to enquiries and provide guidance to users on how to resolve common problems.
 Diagnose and repair hardware failures and coordinate with vendors for warranty or out-of-warranty repairs and replacements.
 Repair and replace peripheral equipment such as POS systems, security cameras, routers and switches.
 Collaborate with management to design, plan and implement computer networks, considering factors such as network scalability, bandwidth, security and compatibility.
 Maintain and monitor the company’s local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi networks to ensure stability and performance.
 Make design changes/improvements to the company’s website, ensuring it reflects the brand’s identity and offers an engaging user experience, incorporating e-commerce features for online sales of cameras, accessories, and electronics.
 Provide training and support to employees on how to use applications and equipment effectively and efficiently.
 Create and update documentation, user guides and knowledge base articles for common IT issues and solutions.
 Implement and manage data backup solutions to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Skills and Qualification:

 Bachelor’s degree in a related field
 A minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience
 Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems
 Ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively

Salary: $70,000 plus Superannuation
