Privately owned, Parkside is a leading player in saw milling, timber manufacturing, land and property and commercial development, home construction and retirement industries with operations across Australia and into Papua New Guinea.

As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a skilled Forester to join our dedicated team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee timber harvesting operations to maximize yield while ensuring sustainable forestry practices.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for logging activities.
• Conduct and manage forest inventory assessments to inform long-term management plans.
• Develop and implement forest management plans that align with company goals and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with logging crews to ensure proper implementation of forestry plans and to address any on-site challenges.
• Provide guidance on best practices for sustainable timber harvesting.
• Identify and implement measures to mitigate environmental impact during timber harvesting.
• Collaborate with environmental consultants to address potential concerns.

Requirements:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree
• At least 2-3 years relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of forestry principles, ecology, and silviculture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Australian Working Rights.

Job Type: Full time

Salary: 72.000 per year + superannuation
