Position: Automotive Electrician (full-time, on-site)

Our services cover a wide range of automobile and heavy vehicle concerns, from diagnostics and battery problems to lights and air conditioning. Based in Campbellfield our services also include a mobile element, with a focus on installing/maintaining telematic equipment in commercial vehicles in the transport sector.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Rebuilding and reconditioning Alternators/Starter Motors.
2. Diagnosing Electronic system faults with specific diagnostic equipment and replacing the faulty parts such as fuses, electrical wiring and switches. Calibration of the models like ABS SRS and various other ECU.
3. Inspecting circuits for shorts and open conditions. Using Multi Meter and special fuses to inspect the location of short and fixing the issue.
4. Manufacturing/renewing the wiring looms and checking their quality.
5. Fitting and wiring up various auxiliary components including LED light bars, reverse cameras, etc., using equipment like diagonal cutters, wire strippers and crimpers.
6. Dealing face to face with customers to gain a clear understanding of their electrical issues in their vehicles.
7. Using Digital Multi Meter to detect the voltages, resistance and current and to seek ground.
8. Using hand and power tools including specialized machines such as bench grinders, alternator test bench and lathe to install or dismantle electrical equipment in vehicles.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
● A minimum Certificate III in Automotive Technology
● At least 3 years of experience in Automotive Industry (preferably as an Automotive Electrician).
