Maintenance Electrician

Our Client HUSSEY & CO PTY LTD ABN - xxxxxxx 0246 – Located in Somerville, VIC is seeking a Maintenance Electrician Full-time position for between $80,000 - $90,000 a year.

Our growing FMCG business located on the Mornington Peninsula, is looking for an energetic, passionate & highly experienced MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Duties will include:
· Ability to complete fabrication work which could include, Chute, Sensor brackets, Guards
· Working with stainless steel and tig welding
· Fits and assembles metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
· Assist with the installation & relocation of associated equipment or machinery in plant
· Supporting Production to achieve their output targets
· Providing breakdown, preventative and reactive maintenance to production and packaging machinery.
· Diagnosis & repair of machinery & plant in a timely manner
· Achieving and improving on targets for plant uptime through implementation of planned maintenance condition monitoring and preventative maintenance routines.
It is essential you possess the following:
· Hands on and show of commitment
· Successful completion of an appropriate Engineering/Trade Qualification
· Proven post-trade experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
· Technical skill set across a variety of engineering competencies (Welding, fabrication etc.)
· Preferably have qualifications and experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and welding Tig and Arc
· Experience with plant shut-downs, breakdowns and maintenance within a continuously operating manufacturing facility
· Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections
· Good analytical skills, attention to detail and decision-making ability
· Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
· Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
· Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
