Agricultural Technician/Diesel Motor

Our Client HUSSEY & CO PTY LTD ABN - xxxxxxx 0246 – Located in Somerville, VIC is seeking a Agricultural Technician/Diesel Motor Mechanic Full-time position for between $70,000 - $75,000 a year.

Our growing FMCG business located on the Mornington Peninsula, is looking for an energetic, passionate & highly experienced Agriculture Technician
Duties will include:
· Plan, coordinate and execute preventative and reactive maintenance
· Diagnosis and repair of machinery in a timely manner
· Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment
· To comply with all relevant OH&S legislation
· Manage general repair and maintenance of equipment and building as required
· Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis
· Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance jobs
· Maintain an efficient and up to date data recording system
· Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections
· Diagnosing faults in diesel engines, transmissions and mechanical parts
· Dismantling and repairing engines, transmissions and mechanical parts
· Performing maintenance services on vehicles and agricultural equipment
· Testing and diagnosing vehicles and equipment for operational efficiency
· Undertaking repairs on farm
· Ordering spare parts for vehicles and equipment

It is essential you possess the following:
· Hands on and show of commitment
· Successful completion of an appropriate Diesel/Tractor Mechanic trade
· Proven post-qualification experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
· Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
· Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
· Technical skill set across a variety of engineering competencies (Welding, Fabrication etc)
· Excellent time management skills
