Job Overview
The Plant and Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the manufacturing processes and equipment within a plant. They will work closely with the production team to ensure that production processes are efficient, safe, and meet quality standards. The Plant and Production Engineer will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize production.
Job Duties
1. Develop and implement plant maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
2. Oversee the installation, modification, and commissioning of new plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
3. Analyze plant data, including performance metrics, and production reports and, to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize production.
4. Develop and implement process improvements to increase plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality by studying facility layout, production schedules, etc.
5. Develop and implement plant safety programs, including hazard identification and risk assessment, to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
6. Manage plant budgets, including the preparation of cost estimates and financial analysis of plant operations.
7. Manage plant projects, including the coordination of resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project completion.
8. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including the management of waste disposal and pollution control measures.
9. Coordinate with plant personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and quality standards, by perusing organizational charts, functional statements, project information, etc., for ongoing and future projects.
10. Develop and implement training programs for plant personnel, including safety training, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures to improve workforce management.

Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant and production engineering or a related field.

• Familiarity with quality management systems and production control systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the production environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Benefits
Annual Salary Between $73,000 to $74,000 depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
