Position: Accountant
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time

Preformed Line Products (Australia) Pty Ltd is an Australian manufacturing company that has been supplying quality products to the power utility, telecommunication, cable television and data network industries as well as specialised niche markets since it began operating in Australia in 1961.
Preformed Line Products (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking to fill an Accountant vacancy to be based at 190 Power St, Glendenning NSW 2761. We seek a qualified (minimum Bachelor of Accounting) Accountant with at least 2 years of experience, to join the business on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage daily journal entry process ensuring that expenses are properly and adequately accrued, adjustment entries are properly authorised and documented, and prepaid expenses amortised are properly and accurately carried out on a timely manner.
• Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analysing and investigating variances; and summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Ensure General Ledger reconciliations, are completed on a regular and periodic basis and that they are reviewed and authorised by the General Manager - Finance.
• Preparing Financial reports.
• Maintaining accounting Systems and providing feedback on the application of computer-based accounting systems (EPICOR)
• Preparation of periodic returns and Preparation of filing as required by state and federal regulatory bodies (ASIC/ BAS/ FBT / Payroll Tax I Group Tax/ Superannuation), remaining compliant with current regulations of Australian tax, IFRS & USGAAP and accounting policies.
• Maintaining Audit standards & assist in SOX testing and internal control reviews on a regular and periodic basis. Highlighting issues and deficiencies and formulating solutions and recommendations to appropriate department heads for resolutions.
• Management and calculation of Rebates.
• Managing the broader month-end process to ensure the completeness and accuracy of results, including the review of transactions, calculation and posting of journals.
• Calculation of actual and forecasted daily cash flows for the company.
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register including posting depreciation journals.
• Remaining current with financial regulations and accepted practices. participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organisations.
• Assist in other tasks as required by General Manager - Finance.
• Demonstrates support and embraces PLP 'On track' values.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Other skills and requirements:
• Requiring a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a relevant role
• Experience in private practice accounting minimum 2 years of experience in an Accountant role
• Experience in accounting software Epicor.
• Experience in using Equifax, Hyperion
• Experience in Power BI to perform analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel skills required.
• Ability to work independently and support as a team player.
