Job Description

The Head Chef is looking to expand our Team. He is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a commitment to the role, showing motivation, professionalism, and passion for what you do.

This is an exciting, and unique, opportunity for the right applicant to join an award-winning kitchen team, with a hardworking, motivated, passionate, yet fun-loving professional team.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

The role consists of:

• Produce and maintain consistently high levels of food preparation & presentation
• A la carte restaurant, tapas menus, and function menu's
• Hands-on across all areas of the kitchen, including function or offsite events
• Work under the direction of the Head Chef, to assist with smooth daily operations, along with fresh, new, and exciting promotions or creative alternatives are implemented
• A flexible roster, across 7 days including nights and weekends

Skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong a la carte experience in pans and grill sections
• Work as a positive, professional, team member with a 'can-do' attitude across all areas of the kitchen
• Trade qualifications, including Food Safety Certificate
• Good communication skills
• Strong product knowledge, and attention to detail/consistency
• Good understanding of food safety requirements & standards for maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
