Residential Care Officer for Prestige Staffing Solutions

Our Client PRESTIGE STAFFING SOLUTIONS - xxxxxxx – Located in Southport, QLD is seeking a Full-time position for Residential Care Officer between $75,000 - $85,000 a year.

DUTIES:

• Ensuring a high quality of individualised support services are met to enable older people to enjoy life.
• Working with clients from diverse backgrounds to ensure their individual needs are supported while respecting their culture.
• Delivering services with compassion, integrity, and dignity.
• Ensure that there is always staffed to provide 1:1 quality support and meet the requirements of the clients based on their individual needs and in line with their goals.
• Maintain accurate records and report writing on progress from the client.
• Provide feedback to the relevant facility manager.
• Ensure there are the facilities of transport for the elderly in the public or at one of our therapeutic home facilities.
• Ensure staff are trained to handle complex and challenging behaviours and mental illnesses.
• Interviewing clients and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties.
• Refer clients to agencies that can provide additional help.
• Help older people to engage with their local communities and culture.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

This position will require the following

• Relevant qualification in community services and at least 2 years of work experience
• Current first aid and CPR
• Outstanding communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred supports
