Position: Internal Auditor
Salary : $85K - $ 90K
Location: Point Cook, Melbourne

One of our clients, My Help Pty Ltd, is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and fully qualified Internal Auditor to join their team and enhance the operations of their aged and disability care services in Point Cook, Melbourne. My Help Pty Ltd is a leading provider of exceptional aged care and disability services, delivering personalized support to elderly clients and NDIS participants across Melbourne since 2014. With over a decade of commitment to excellence, they are now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team and contribute to our continuous improvement and compliance efforts.

The Role:
As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving our operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the effectiveness of internal controls. Your expertise will support their mission to deliver high-quality care services while maintaining operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities: As an Internal Auditor, your primary duties will include the followings:

Governance and Compliance:
• Organizing, notifying, and attending meetings of directors and shareholders.
• Providing guidance to governing boards on adherence to stock exchange listing rules, applicable legislation, and corporate practices.

Capital and Financial Oversight:
• Managing share capital by preparing necessary documents for share issuances and overseeing share transfers.
• Administering treasury systems, setting risk management goals, and regularly reviewing treasury policies.
• Identifying, assessing, and reporting financial risks.
• Supporting equity and debt management, securities handling, and taxation planning initiatives.

Financial Analysis and System Enhancement:
• Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data on the organization's financial health, cost structures, and operational efficiency.
• Developing, restructuring, and implementing budgetary control systems and other accounting frameworks, including computerized systems.

Audit and Investigative Functions:
• Performing comprehensive audits and investigations to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Compiling financial statements and preparing reports for management, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
• Defining audit objectives and designing audit methodologies, processes, and reporting frameworks.
• Risk Assessment and Internal Controls:
• Evaluating the efficiency and risks associated with the organization’s processes, policies, and systems.
• Providing management with detailed reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement:
• Reviewing and refining organizational processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Offering actionable recommendations based on audit findings to enhance performance and operational effectiveness.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in internal or external auditing, preferably within healthcare or aged care.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
