Job Description

GVRC on behalf of Fusion heating &cooling Pty Ltd

Position: Accountant
Salary: $73,500 to $80,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Mode: Full-time
Location: 2/12-20 James Ct, Tottenham VIC 3012
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles

Tasks and responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Preparation of annual financial statements and income tax returns for company.
• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies to analyse the current and future of the business based on the data.
• Maintaining internal control systems and preparation of tax planning estimates and cash flow forecasts/budgets.
• Liaise with external organizations such as ATO, Banks etc.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare annual financial statements.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted business policies and procedures.
• Making sure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare financial management reports as required and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly Business Activity Statements and filing of Co-Invest Returns
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
• Handling compliance-based financial reporting and auditing, insolvency through accounting information system and advise on associated record-keeping requirements.
• Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, end to end planning and execution of external audit and advising on financial matters.
• Keep abreast of new developments in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB Essentials & Account Right, QuickBooks online, Reckon and possible add-ons.
• Maintain required level of technical knowledge and keep abreast of current developments in the tax area.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills and other requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in the relevant roles.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, auditing, and advisory roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and develop financial policies.
• Experience with taxation processes and compliance requirements.
