Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to adhere to electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. This role involves utilizing hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic testing. We are looking for a talented all-rounder to fill this position.
Your tasks and responsibilities will be:
· Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units
· Installation, maintenance and repair of luminous signs, which includes acrylic letters, light boxes or any kind of panels.
· Select and make use of appropriate LED’s for design panels according to project specifications and include transformers and power supplies to the panels. Apply vinyl on top of the acrylic base and fix sign panels to the wall, sometimes with use of lifts.
· Installation of digital signs, such as LED TV’s, where the power point and the fixing for the signage. Using electric drills and screwdrivers, voltage tester, pliers.
· Set up the printer and perform the printing of signs, cutting and laminating these into panels preparing the sign to be installed
· Install electronic lighting and audio equipment for promotional displays
· Demonstrate thorough understanding of the end-to-end procedures of electric equipment’s from assembling, testing and calibration and installation.
· Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
· Replace faulty electrical components of machines before and after sale.
· Manage stocks of supplies and equipment.
· Test machines and electronic equipment to diagnose faults using a variety of diagnostic tools including visual inspection.
· Performs preventative maintenance on test equipment.
· Maintains logs. Assists with the Test Failure Measurement Evaluation and Analysis as needed
· Diagnose and repair defective parts to ensure the correct functioning of the machines reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
· Ability to work according to Health Safety policy and guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Valid Driver License
· Able to work under pressure

· Strong Technical skills
