Job Description
We’re Hiring: Diesel Technician.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Scheduled servicing and routine maintenance of our Road Licensed Truck Fleet, Light Vehicles and Mobile Earthmoving Equipment. Encompassing “6 and 8 Wheel Rigid” Trucks, Toyota Hilux Utes, Wheel Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Tracked Excavators, Tractors and Forklifts.
• Scheduled servicing and routine maintenance of our Diesel driven pump sets.
• Inspection, Diagnostics and Fault finding for all Diesel Engines and related equipment including their 12 and 24VDC Electrical Systems and Engine Cooling Systems.
• Use, Understand and Interpret data obtained from Electronic Engine Control Panels, OBD2 and CAT ET Comms Adaptor 3 Scan Tools.
• Strip, Repair and Assemble components pertaining to Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Cooling Systems and Rotating Assemblies.
• Inspection and Repair of Fuel Injection Systems and perform Valve Lash Adjustments as required.
• Monitor and Repair/ Replace Air Intake (eg Filtration and Turbo) and Exhaust systems.
• Knowledge and Maintenance of the various Lubrication Circuits.
• Welding and Fabrication as required.
Skills and Experience:
• Diesel Technician Trade qualification is essential
• Current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence, ‘C’ Class.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and be self-motivated.
