Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Building Construction Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising construction activities, coordinating resources, and assisting professionals such as Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in the planning and execution of projects.
About the role
The role will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations to ensure project work is conducted efficiently and safely.
The primary responsibilities will be as following:
• Supervising construction sites and coordinate both material and human resources, assisting with the planning and organization of building projects;
• Monitor construction activities to maintain compliance with project plans, building codes, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
• Organize and schedule tasks for construction crews, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to interpret project designs, blueprints, and specifications.
• Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings, and technical specifications. Draft, edit, and revise plans, maps, charts, and construction drawings.
• Collect data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment, performing routine calculations and plot preliminary project data
• Ensure all materials, tools, and resources are available when needed and used efficiently.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and accidents on the construction site.
• Address and resolve any on-site issues or deviations from the construction plan.
To be successful for this role you need:
Diploma or relevant qualification in Construction, Building Design, Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
Proficient in interpreting architectural and engineering plans.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Competency with surveying equipment and CAD software is desirable.
