Job Description
Position: Hardware Technician
Salary: $73,150 + 11.5% superannuation
Hours: 38
Mode: Full-time, Permanent
Location: 10 Raymond, Laverton North VIC 3026
Experienced Required: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Install, maintain, and repair computer hardware systems and peripherals
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware-related issues in desktops, laptops, and servers
• Perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failures
• Set up new hardware, including imaging systems and configuring workstations
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware assets
• Coordinate hardware procurement, replacements, and returns with vendors
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for hardware-related inquiries
• Perform hardware upgrades and component replacements (e.g., memory, storage, power supplies)
• Maintain documentation of all repairs, maintenance activities, and hardware configurations
• Support conference rooms and meeting areas with setup and troubleshooting of AV equipment
• Ensure secure disposal or recycling of outdated or damaged equipment in compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with software and network teams to ensure complete system functionality
• Adhere to workplace safety and cybersecurity protocols during technical tasks
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree and/or Master in Information Technology, Electronics, or related field
Skills & Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in hardware maintenance and repair
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Cisco IT Essentials) are an advantage
• Strong understanding of computer hardware systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hardware faults
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry equipment
