Position: Engineering Technologist (full-time)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyse and modify existing engineering technologies to optimise meat processing operations and ensure high-efficiency production standards.
• Implement engineering solutions and support the commissioning of new machinery and processing lines, aligning with TEK Foods' commitment to innovation.
• Collaborate with Technical supervisor and production teams to identify process improvements that enhance product quality, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Conduct tests and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems within the meat processing facility, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operation.
• Provide ongoing technical support and training to operational staff on the use of engineering technologies and equipment.
• Ensure all engineering modifications comply with relevant Australian standards, WHS regulations, and industry best practices.
• Liaise with external equipment suppliers, maintenance contractors, and regulatory authorities to support engineering functions and ensure compliance.

Skills, qualifications and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, automation, and food processing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with WHS regulations and food industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies.
