Position: Retail Buyer (full-time)

Key Responsibilities:
• Reviewing sales data to forecast future demand and align procurement with company budgets and goals.
• Building and nurturing relationships with both local and international suppliers to explore diverse products and foster collaborative partnerships.
• Designing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with merchandisers and sales teams.
• Performing thorough quality inspections on received goods, including packaging and expiration dates, to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier relationships.
• Tracking industry trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for new products and expand product ranges.
• Generating purchase orders, selecting reliable suppliers, and overseeing the entire procurement process from order placement to delivery.
• Assessing supplier performance and negotiating contracts to achieve cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
• Applying inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and meet customer demand.
• Using sales data to refine product promotions and pricing strategies, maximizing profitability.
• Providing regular reports to management on sales performance and inventory levels, identifying issues and offering strategic recommendations.
• Ensuring purchasing and sales strategies align with the company’s overall business objectives and management plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate sales data and make strategic purchasing decisions.
• Skilled in negotiation and communication, adept at building and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
• Collaborative mindset, partnering seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as merchandisers, marketers, and sales personnel.
• Cert IV, diploma or higher qualification.
• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-focused approach, prioritizing quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the retail sector, preferably in food and beverage, is desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in retail buying or procurement, with a solid understanding of inventory management principles.
• Exceptional communication skills, promoting teamwork and effective problem-solving.
• Adaptable work schedule, capable of operating across various time zones, with no travel limitations.
• Competence in managing teams effectively.
