Job Description

Mygration Pty Ltd is engaged by our client located in Airport West, VIC, 3042 to recruit a skilled candidate for the following position: Fitter with a base salary range starting from $76,600 - $80,000 depending on skill level + SUPERANNUATION.

You can be apart of the team to by having experience with the following:

DUTIES:
• Installing and aligning metal panels, frames, and subassemblies to ensure proper fit and structural integrity of vehicles.
• Reading technical specifications, vehicle blueprints, and collision repair guides to determine materials, tools, and repair sequences.
• Using callipers, micrometres, and alignment tools to check gaps, contours, and dimensions of repaired body parts for accuracy.
• Modifying or fabricating replacement body panels by cutting, grinding, bending, and welding sheet metal to match factory specifications.
• Cutting, bending, and fitting pipes, hangers, and brackets for exhaust and fuel delivery systems.
• Configuring welding machines, frame straighteners, and hydraulic/pneumatic tools for specific repair tasks.
• Inspecting collision damage, identifying misalignments, and performing repairs on frames, suspension mounts, and unibody structures.
• Preparing damaged areas by sanding, filling, and priming before painting to match the vehicle’s original finish.
• Installing and aligning replacement parts – Mounting doors, fenders, bumpers, and other body components, ensuring proper gaps and flushness.

REQUIRMENTS:
• Certificate III or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 years’ experience on the job.
• Proactive work ethic and desire for long term employment.
• Own transportation
