Salary Range: $77,000 to $80,000 + %12 Superannuation.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Machinist to join our team on full-time basis working a minimum of 38 hours per week. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing our processes, improving efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline production workflows, reduce waste, and implement cost-saving solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain CNC milling machines and other related workshop equipment.
• Review technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate part production.
• Take precise measurements and use appropriate tools for cutting, shaping, and milling operations.
• Select suitable machine settings, cutting tools, and speeds for specific materials and tasks.
• Plan and execute the proper machining sequence to complete assignments efficiently.
• Machine metal components through milling, drilling, grinding, and shaping to meet tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometres, and gauges.
• Maintain production and quality control logs and assist with inventory planning.
• Follow workplace safety protocols and collaborate with engineers and team members.
• Communicate with supervisors and engineers regarding machine performance, production schedules, and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
• Relevant Qualifications desired but not mandatory.
Experience
• Minimum 1 - 2 years (full-time) experience as a Metal Machinist.
Skills
• Strong analytical skills and experience with process modelling and analysis tools.
• A strong grasp of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering precise, high-quality work.
• Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving abilities.
