Position: Flower Grower
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
Location: 69 Florda Gold Drive, Wells Crossing, NSW, 2460
Mode: Full Time
Experience: 2-3 years
Hours: 38 hours

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and coordinate the production of flowers, including preparing soil and planting beds to optimize growing conditions.
2. Sow seeds, plant bulbs, or transplant seedlings of flower species using modern and traditional propagation methods.
3. Monitor and maintain flower crops by irrigating, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, and protecting against pests and diseases.
4. Operate and maintain greenhouse structures, shade houses, misting systems, and other growing environments to ensure optimal crop health.
5. Inspect flower crops for quality, readiness, and health; identify and address any signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.
6. Harvest flowers at optimal maturity and oversee grading, bunching, packaging, and preparing flowers for market or distribution.
7. Maintain accurate records of crop schedules, input usage, and pest/disease management as part of quality assurance processes.
8. Supervise and train seasonal workers or general farm hands to ensure proper horticultural techniques and compliance with safety protocols.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience in horticulture or flower growing (commercial scale preferred).
• Sound knowledge of crop protection, irrigation management, and plant propagation techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and application (e.g., pest control methods).
• Flexibility to work seasonal hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
• Forklift license or driver's license desirable but not mandatory.
