Euro Cafe in NSW is looking for a passionate kitchen staff to join our team.
You’ll be responsible
-Physical set up and operation of the wash up area and thorough clean down area at the end of shift
-Ensuring all kitchen equipment, dishes, cutlery and glasses are cleaned
-Assisting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation
-Performing basic kitchen tasks such as peeling, cutting, and washing vegetables
- Supplementing food via herbs, spices, and/or salts, intended to enhance a particular flavour.
-Handling and storing food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
-Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly
- Effectively regulate the temperature of cooking equipment (e.g.- ovens, grills, and other)
-Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service
-Can train the staff/apprentices if required.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a cook role, preferably in a sandwich bar, café, or restaurant.
• Passion for food and creating unique, dishes and starters.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavors.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary: $75,000 to $78,000 (Plus Superannuation).
Experience :1-2 experience required.
Qualification: Cert 3 in commercial cookery or equivalent.
Visa Status: Full working rights.
