Developer Programmer – AWS Cloud Based Software
We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Nightlife Music Pty Ltd, based out of Brisbane (Milton – QLD) is actively looking for an experienced Developer Programmer to join its team on a full-time basis. Nightlife services over 4,500 clients across all industries from hospitality, fitness, retail, accommodation, leisure, dining, cruising, education and entertainment. Business curates music and great visuals for its clients, whether dining, shopping, working-out, meeting friends for a drink, bowling, taking a holiday on a cruise or checking in to a hotel, chances are the music and great visuals have been curated and put there by Nightlife. Based out of Brisbane, the Developer Programmer will be responsible for handling the AWS Cloud based Softwares and Apps, implementing various projects for the development of their Business to Business (B2B) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications
Main Responsibilities of the role are-
• Design, code, test and maintain software applications supporting Nightlife’s music and video streaming platforms, ensuring reliability, low latency and high availability for hospitality and retail clients.
• Develop, review and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of applications and updates across AWS EKS clusters and internal environments.
• Maintain and upgrade database systems such as MySQL and Aurora, ensuring data integrity for playlists, customer interactions and media libraries.
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve software and system defects to maintain seamless delivery of audio-visual services.
• Develop scripts and automation tools in Bash and Python to streamline infrastructure management, monitoring and operational tasks.
• Implement and monitor system performance metrics using Prometheus, Grafana and AWS tools to ensure optimal service delivery and incident response.
• Adapt and integrate third-party APIs and services into Nightlife’s platforms to enhance customer interactivity such as crowdDJ song selection features.
• Document technical designs, system configurations and procedures to support knowledge transfer and compliance with best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, media specialists and operations to ensure software solutions meet business and client requirements.
Must Have –
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field.
• 2 years or more of Australian experience is highly desirable
Skills Required-
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or similar.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services and Kubernetes/EKS.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases including MySQL and Aurora, with skills in optimisation and maintenance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control and modern DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins and Argo CD is highly desirable.
Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of 95,000 - 110,000 Plus Superannuation.
